The NSS (National service scheme) unit of SMVDU organized an orientation program for all the branches of UG programmes. The main motive of the program was to aware students about various activities conducted by NSS unit and motivate them to join NSS. NSS Program Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar briefed students about NSS and its role in student’s development, community development and nation building. NSS volunteer Sadhvi Sharma shared various NSS actvities conducted by the unit in the last one year so that students can have a fair idea of the scope of work. The students were also given direction about students enrolment as volunteers in the NSS unit of University. Around 500 students participated in the orientation program. NSS Co-coordinator Dr. Kamaldeep were also present during the said event.
