It is my pleasure to address the National Service Scheme (NSS) at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. This year, NSS SMVDU organized impactful events, from environmental campaigns to social service initiatives. Our students’ dedication to making a positive impact beyond campus is commendable, addressing real-world issues with compassion and resilience. NSS’s mission of fostering selfless service, social responsibility, and leadership is a cornerstone of our university’s holistic education. National Service Scheme (NSS) acts as a bridge between society and educational institutions .It simultaneously helps in developing the spirit of social service among youth and blooming the overall personality of the student volunteers. It eventually leads to the development of responsibility among citizens for their country. Different activities are undertaken by NSS at SMVD University to promote socio-economic development in society. In Nutshell, NSS is a service to mankind by the young minds of India.
As a mentor , the primary goal is to inspire and encourage students to actively participate in community service and social welfare initiatives. By engaging in various outreach programs, students are empowered to make a meaningful difference in society, while also developing valuable life skills. Through collaboration and collective efforts, we aim to create a culture of service, compassion, and responsibility, ensuring that every student plays a part in bringing about positive change to the world around them.
