SMVDU Katra hosted visit of students from Govt. Polytechnic Reasi. The visit was organized to enhance knowledge/awareness among students about higher educational institutions. The camp was organized by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Manali. The camp was funded by Regional Directorate, NSS New Delhi. IAB affirms its commitment to empower visually challenged people become self-reliant by providing comprehensive rehabilitation, education and employment opportunities. The NSS unit of SMVDU, Katra organized Blood Donation Camp  in collaboration with J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, Jammu (JKTWS). The donation drive was organized on the occasion of World Aids Day.
