NSS SMVDU volunteers participated in National Integration Camp at Haryana

NSS volunteers of SMVDU participated in week long ‘National Integration Camp’ recently held at M.M PG, Fatehabad, Haryana. NSS SMVDU volunteers Akankshya Dash and Sourabh Salaria represented Jammu and Kashmir contingent in this national level event. The National Integration Camp (NIC) is organized every year and the duration of each camp is of 7 days with day-night boarding & lodging. ONLY two NSS volunteers (01 girl and 01 boy) from each University are allowed in these camps. These camps are held in different parts of the country. Each camp involves 200 NSS volunteers to undertake the scheduled activities. During the camp, they were a part of various activities like Yoga, Drug Awareness, Mera Vote Mera Adhikar rally, slogan writing competitions etc. and they also got to attend various guest lectures from known entities. They represented the culture of Jammu and Kashmir during the cultural events through dance, music, poster making, speech, and act. NSS Programme Coordinator congratulated both the volunteers for attending the said camp. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar appreciated the efforts of both the volunteers in bringing laurels to the University.
