With the sole philosophy of Serving lives, The National Service Scheme (NSS) has been introduced by the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports all over the nation to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. The introduction of NSS has worked as a tool and a platform for young Indian students to carry on with the ancient Indian history of providing services to the ones who need as well as to the society.

Our NSS Team at SMVDU has provided opportunities to students to explore, work and contribute in all avenues of community service. From our basic education tours to nearby schools to the cleanliness drives we have always justified our goal of ‘Education through Service’.While we say “Seva Paramo Dharma”, at NSS we make it our lifestyle.
We at NSS have always upholded the legacy of our Logo- The Konark Wheel. Signifying 24
hours of a day, it has always been our motivation to be ready for the service of nation round the clock.
With creative and innovative ideas, NSS has always created small but happy achievements for people associated with it. Working with NSS is itself a prime source of happiness and a push to bring a positive change in the society with focus on Education and Development of the underprivileged,conserving Nature,as well as Personal growth. We have proved that small steps taken together by people with unbeatable determination bring unimaginable changes in the society.
