NSS SMVDU Katra volunteers organized Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath event as part of Swachhta hi Sewa in collaboration with district administration Reasi at Panthal block in which remarkable cleanliness drive was performed at Panthal market place and Amritsarovar. Swachhta pledge was also taken by all participants before starting the cleanliness drive. Around 200 participants actively participated in this drive and collected around 200 kg of single use plstic waste. Shopkeepers were also awared about the importance of cleanliness in their nearby vicinity. This initiative saw active participation from various stakeholders and attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Dr Anirudh Rai, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Sh Pardeep Kumar, BDO Katra Mr. Manoj Raina, BDO Panthal Ms. Mehak, students and staff of GHSS Panthal led by Principal Smt Rachna Sharma , DDC panthal Sh Rajinder Mengi, Sarpanch Suresh Kumar, Sarpanch Rajinder Thappa, PRIs members, market association members along with University NSS coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar. Vice chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar appreciated the efforts if NSS volunteers for successfully organizing the event.
